        the Sidewalk Ends
After wanting these boots for the last 3 years, I finally got them. They are pricey, that's for certain. So if you can find them somewhere on sale, grab them while you can! I ordered these in the Stout (brown suede) color in size 8. I typically wear size 7.5 shoes, however in Uggs I find I need to get 8's. At first the boots feel snug, but after a few days of wearing them, the fur flattens down just a bit and molds to the shape of your foot.

They are even better looking in person than online. The peach colored shearling is actually more of a rosey peach than an orange peach. The brown is a soft subtle brown color which I adore. The laces are big and thick, designed to hold up to years of pulling on them tight. The Vibram sole keeps the boots dry in snow and slush, which I need living in northern Minnesota! The tread on the bottom of these provides much better traction than one gets with the traditional UGG Australia Women's Classic Tall Boots. I slip all over the place in the winter with my classic Uggs. I've been out walking through the snow and ice with these recently and don't slip or slide nearly as much.

You don't have to baby these boots nearly as much as you do with the classic Uggs. I wear these to the store, to work, out shoveling snow off the porch, etc. I don't have to worry about them getting wet, which is a nice change from my other pairs of Uggs. They have the same wonderful shearling as classic Uggs do, from the tip of the toes all the way up to the top of the boots. With the only difference being the outside of the boot, which is better designed for standing up to winter weather than the classic styles.

I adore these and would buy another pair in a heartbeat if mine wore out. If they ever go on clearance because of being discontinued, I buying as many as I can!

I am a size 7 1/2 and I ordered size 8 and they fit perfect because of the amout of fluff inside!! Exactly as pictured and they are amazing!!! Definitely comfortable and some boots that have the fluff "sheep skin" can feel like a weird rough material but these have very soft fluffy sheep skin. Also they are very comfortable and slip resistant for sure!!! They also come up to a little bit past mid calve length so they are tall! I'm in love with these new boots they are warm and will be perfect for winter☺️

I ordered a size larger per reviews and would NOT recommend that, get your size that you always buy and you'll be happy...!

These boots lasted less than 3 months for me. I have bought this same pair before and they lasted at a minimum the entire fall/winter. But they have slits for grip on the soles and from standard use, the slits have split all the way into the cushion on the bottom of the boots. There is probably a better tread pattern than this one.

Update: I submitted a warranty request through Bearpaw on January 10th, they approved the request on 1/16 and now it is 1/25 and I still have no tracking number like it has shipped yet. It may have shipped and I just don't have it yet. But 2 weeks in Ohio winter with no wearable boots is annoying. I don't buy lots of extra shoes, I just buy what I need so I didn't have a backup expect heavy snow boots. I feel like I should have just bought another pair and wrote these off instead of getting the warranty request.

Another data point on sizing: I wear 11.5 in most shoes. I bought the 11 and the 12 to see which worked best for me (with the inserts). The 11 fit snugly with just a pair of regular athletic socks - a little room at the heel but pretty tight around the toes. The 12 was somewhat loose with just these socks but not uncomfortably so.

With a thicker sock (Dickies brand heavyweight crew) AND the thinner athletic sock (Puma), the 12 fits perfectly. The 11 is too snug. However, with just the thick socks, the 11 is perfectly snug (which you want in boots since they lack the ankle support that laced shoes provide) and the 12 still has a little too much room. Since the boots are so warm already, I don't want to wear more than the heavyweight crew socks for fear my feet will sweat too much. So, the smaller or larger size could be right for you if you are a half-size - just depends on what type of socks you are going to wear. I went with the 11s.

I thought I was buying a cheap pair of “cute” boots that wouldn’t last a winter. I was apparently wrong.

I moved to the UP of Michigan without any winter gear last summer and tried cheaping out on as much as I could and buy nicer stuff over the course of the next few years. This was one of those things I got. To give you an idea of winter here: it started snowing mid October and hasn’t stopped since. We get 50-100 inches of snow... a month here. So I wear these snowboots every single day, regardless of where I’m going. I dress up for church, business casual for work, dress down for shopping, and everything in between. I have gotten countless compliments on these boots in all situations. So they’re cute, score! Very comfortable too. I hate shoes, constantly call shoes evil, but I don’t quite mind having these on my feet. They aren’t awfully restricting like some boots can be.

They are also water proof. I can step into a few inches of water and my socks stay dry. I can march through a foot of snow and my feet stay dry. These boots have plenty of traction. They aren’t good for running across ice, but I can certainly walk across it carefully without slowing down too much.

The one thing these are not is warm. Which is fine, wool socks and toe warmers go a long way if you’re standing in 0° for long.

In all, I love these boots. They don’t look terrible worn after four months of constant ware. I expect to get two seasons out of these at least. If they end up not making it to May, I’ll update this review, but I’m not seeing them suddenly fall apart any time soon. All in all, these are super worth the money.
