I've always thought that these type of boots were ugly, but I tried on some Uggs in the store and they were so comfy! I still couldn't bring myself to pay that much, though. I know some people swear by their Bearpaws so I turned to my trusty Amazon to look at reviews. As usual they ranged from go up a size to go down a size and from they fell apart to good quality. The bearpaw website recommends sizing up due to the sheepskin lining. I usually wear a size 6 1/2, but I wear a 6 in cowboy boots and most flats. I wear a 5 1/2 in Minnetonka moccasins which are suede. I'm 5'3 1/2" and 113lbs with skinny ankles and small calves. In my experience, leather stretches with wear and i didn't want my boots to be flopping around my legs within a month. Also, reading the reviews it seems the sheepskin flattens with wear and I didn't plan to wear any socks with them. So, I ordered a 6 in the luggage color which turns out to be a nice light chestnut color. They look better on than I thought and frankly they are so comfy that I don't care if people think they're ugly. The sole is nice and sturdy and the boots are so soft and warm. I didn't see any signs of poor construction or glue marks on mine. They fit pretty close to my calves (not tightly), but I can easily tuck pants into them due to the lining. When putting them on the first time I had to tug and then my foot settled in with a whump. There was also some heels slippage when I walked. These are both signs of a good fit in cowboy boots and I guess they are in these boots as well. They are easier to get on now and the small heel slippage does not irritate my feet. I love them! I've been wearing them really frequently at home on my hardwood floors and out on errands and they still look great, but I recommend that you put some suede water and stain repellant on them. The only reason they are 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have worn the sheepskin lining off in the right insole after only a month. This could just be my gait pattern. I got my boyfriend the Bearpaw slippers and after over 6 months and daily wear they still look like new and the lining is still plush. I am already eyeing a shorter pair of boots for summer wear around the house. I would buy from this seller again. I ordered the boots at night on the 1st and received them on the 5th nicely packaged.

This was my first UGG purchase. I have always wanted to purchase a pair, although I could never justify the cost. I would purchase cheap boots with a similar look and they would not last. I purchased these boots last Christmas, from Amazon, for $160.00. I have only worn them less than 10 times within the past year. Last March, 3 months after purchasing them, I went to pull the boot up and the outer sheepskin layer ripped. I thought, maybe I should send them back? I can't believe this. My husband thought, let's just bring them to a taylor and have them just sew the area. So we did. Like I said, I have only worn these boots a handful of times. They are extremely warm, comfortable and cute. However, I am not sure if it is the 3rd party I received them from, that perhaps these aren't authentic UGG boots? or just the poor quality that I have been misinformed of. It is so unfortunate! The area that ripped initially has since ripped again, and looks HORRIBLE! Also, now the sheepskin on the left boot is coming apart from the sole of the boot. I cannot wear them, they are just embarrassing to wear, and it has been too long to return them, I imagine. The point I am making is that I have only worn these a handful of times. In my opinion, people should know that this seller's boots do not last. My sister has multiple pairs of UGGS that she wears constantly, has had them for years, and NONE of these things have happened to her. These boots are extremely expensive to have to continue to purchase. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. :-(

I bought these for my wife for Christmas and she never takes them off! She loves them!

The Northeast has been hounded with snow/ice/slush/rain this winter, and I've thanked my lucky stars that I invested in these boots every time a Nor'easter or even just snow flurries come blowing in!

They're water proof, so I have no problem trudging through slush when trying to get to the subway or my car. They're also super warm, (and can even be worn without socks!), so they've become a staple in my winter wardrobe. I travel all around the Northeast for work, and they're amazing to walk in through Maine, as they are in NYC.

I don't know why I've waited so long to invest in these, but they will always be my go-to winter boots!

Excellent boot but not warm enough for a German winter. Not enough sheep skin

These boots lasted less than 3 months for me. I have bought this same pair before and they lasted at a minimum the entire fall/winter. But they have slits for grip on the soles and from standard use, the slits have split all the way into the cushion on the bottom of the boots. There is probably a better tread pattern than this one.

Update: I submitted a warranty request through Bearpaw on January 10th, they approved the request on 1/16 and now it is 1/25 and I still have no tracking number like it has shipped yet. It may have shipped and I just don't have it yet. But 2 weeks in Ohio winter with no wearable boots is annoying. I don't buy lots of extra shoes, I just buy what I need so I didn't have a backup expect heavy snow boots. I feel like I should have just bought another pair and wrote these off instead of getting the warranty request.

I would love to give these 5 stars. They are cute, versatile boots, look very warm, arrived quickly. But they are just too small for me. If you have a wide foot like me, beware. I have a wide left foot (ok, cankle) from edema. Couldn’t even get the left one on. I’ve had other brands that come in wide width that fit great. These don’t come in wide width. I saw they ran a bit big in some reviews & took a chance. My bad. Just putting this rating out there for anyone like me who might be considering these. Everyone else, you will love them! I really was looking forward to them & really wished they fit! :( Even considered keeping them, just in case, but had to return). Hope they fit all who buy! :)

I purchased these May 2012 - it's now Oct 2016. 4 years 5 months and it's time for another pair and I am buying these exact same boot. They have been great and offer extremely good value for the amount of abuse and use I put them through. They worked perfectly for me and as such I am BUYING another pair.

1st pair lasted me 4 years and 5 months after nearly daily wear and abuse - IN Short I am getting another pair now.

This is my second pair of FatBaby boots because I LOVE FatBaby boots. Not only are they comfortable but they are stylish. Now I'm no cowgirl so I didn't buy them to wear mucking stalls or to look good while riding my horse. I simply bought them because I needed a black pair and they look great with both my Blue Jeans and my Skinny Jeans. Because I have a narrow foot with a high arch and my feet tend to start aching mid way through the day, no matter what type of shoe I wear, I put insoles in all of my shoes. However, when I put my insoles in these boots the top of my foot rubbed on the top of the boot making it very uncomfortable. However, without the insoles the boots are too roomy, my feet flop around and I have no arch support. But I figured out that if I wear two pairs of socks there is not as much flop room and I can comfortably wear and walk in the boots most of the day. This can be a little inconvenient in the summer months but I've heard somewhere that sometimes you have to suffer for beauty, and I personally feel the sweaty feet are worth how good I look in the boots, call me shallow if you will, I don't care. My favorite thing about these boots are how great they look on me. I can't wait until I get my next pair.

This review is for Bearpaw Women's Rosie boot.
First a lot of reviews I read before buying these boots said to buy a size up, I do not suggest doing that. I have multiple shearling boots made by different companies and I wear my normal size in all of them. The boots may feel a little tight when you first get them but that is a good thing because they will stretch out a bit with wear.
Okay now on to the boot itself! I really like the style of these boots, and they look very cute on. I like the button detail and the band that loops around the button feels very sturdy which is great because I was a little worried about it being flimsy. The sole on these is awesome! They feel sturdy and tough, more like a real sole and not that almost spongy / cardboard like material that my Ukala's and apparently some Ugg's have as well. I got the "Emerald" color, which I completely love! It is a nice forest green and goes well with so many colors. These boots are warm and comfortable and they feel very well made, I think they will last me for a very long time. I would highly recommend these boots as well as other Bearpaw boots, I know I will be buying more!
