This is my first time purchasing this name brand and it's of good quality! The only thing is they run a little snug, so you might want to go up half a size to a full size. Because mine are a little snug, I don't wear socks with them which provides me all the comfort I need (and they DON'T make your feet sweat so don't worry about foot odor (unless that's your issue already; it's not mine))! I wasn't sure if they are weather resistant so I treated them with Rain & Stain Guard just in case!

These boots lasted less than 3 months for me. I have bought this same pair before and they lasted at a minimum the entire fall/winter. But they have slits for grip on the soles and from standard use, the slits have split all the way into the cushion on the bottom of the boots. There is probably a better tread pattern than this one.

Update: I submitted a warranty request through Bearpaw on January 10th, they approved the request on 1/16 and now it is 1/25 and I still have no tracking number like it has shipped yet. It may have shipped and I just don't have it yet. But 2 weeks in Ohio winter with no wearable boots is annoying. I don't buy lots of extra shoes, I just buy what I need so I didn't have a backup expect heavy snow boots. I feel like I should have just bought another pair and wrote these off instead of getting the warranty request.

I'm a recent convert to this style of shoe, but I work in a really casual office that's FREEZING and needed something comfortable and warm - these are so perfect, they're my new favorite winter boot. Suede is great quality, as is the Sherpa lining.

Sizing Note: I've read many reviews that stated they got the shoe way too big, and others recommending that you go to Bearpaw's website to figure out the correct size - both of those points are incorrect. Bearpaw recommends sizing 1-2 sizes UP because of the thick lining of the shoe - I believe that's why people are mistakenly ordering the wrong size.

I went with another reviewer who suggested to order a size down because the lining will pack in around your foot and you'll end up with more room - so thankful for that suggestion - I'm a 6.5, ordered a 6 - the first few days of wear, yes the shoes were tight - but sure enough the lining has packed inside and they now fit perfectly - there's actually enough room for me to put an insert in these so I have more arch support.

The product is great! However the packaging appeared to be nice at first since the boots came in their "bear paw" box, but when I opened the box not only did I find the shoes, but I received an additional half-empty bag of chips.
The ship crumbs were all over the shoes! Gross! I was able to wipe the chips off... But why?

BEARPAW is a quality boot and a cost effective alternative to UGG (for my 8 year old daughter).
We have been buying them for a few years now, 1~2 pairs per season.
We loved the color of these boots but unfortunately they are too small and not the size 5 that we ordered.
In the photo I placed them heel to heel with a locally bought size 5 BEARPAW boot.

Shoe looks trashed after less than 2 months of wear. Heel area had a faux stacked look-- actually just covered in paper! The paper is all torn and peeling, and the material underneath is very unattractive. These are now basically junk.

I have about six pairs of Ariat Fatbaby boots in various colors and materials, and five pairs of various other Ariat women's' styles. They consistently run true-to-size, are comfortable, and last forever. They also garner a lot of admiring comments from strangers in airports, for some reason. I love the brand and these are no exception. Ariat boots aren't just for the equestrian set; they have fashion and work boots, and uniformly deliver fit, function, and durability. I prefer them to my more expensive Frye boots, and will remain a loyal customer for myself or when I need a nice gift.

I have now bought two pairs of these boots.

        They are okay.

They are not overly comfortable, but they get the job done and are not terrible.

My first pair lasted...period. Only got a new one when I did because my employer pays $75 towards a new pair every year so...why wouldn't I?

I am a truck driver who both drives and spends quite a bit of time unloading and the toes in these boots certainly have saved me quite a bit of pain and actually become useful for kicking things like pallets around, saving my back a bit.

Point: These are well made, durable, sturdy boots. A good buy for less than $100. The only two things I do not like about them that make these boots lose a star are:

1- The strings kind of suck. They broke fast and are overly stretchy for my liking. This is a minor issue, as nice strings are quite inexpensive (couple of dollars).
2- The boots could be more comfortable and the padding inside wears down within the first few months.

Overall, a solid inexpensive pair of boots that could last up to two years, but I would advise, for comfort sake, replacing at least yearly.

These boots are alright in comfort and size. The problem is that the company shipped me a pair of boots that should NOT have passed quality control. There is a lace at the top that goes around the boot, meant for tightening down so that you know, snow and such doesn't get IN your boot. Well, after we just got some impressive snow yesterday (18 inches), I go to tighten down the top and low and behold, someone had sewn one of the aglet ends right into the boot. Now, yes, I can tie them, even if it is awkward. The thing is, they sent these, knowing that they were not correct, and at full price. I know that someone noticed it because when I went to tie the boots, I had to first UNtie their first "out of the box strange tie configuration". That's when I noticed it. I'm getting replacements but now I have to drop them off at UPS, which is sort of annoying when you live 20 miles from one. I hope that the quality of the boot surpasses the first impression.

I have been looking for this boot in black at an affordable price for 2 years and finally found it on Amazon. TMI warning. I have bilateral primary lymphedema of the lower extremities translated means I have chronic severe swelling of both of my legs above the ankle and below the calf which makes buying winter boots almost impossible. I found a pair of Bearpaws in a green at a store locally which doesn't match anything I own and green isn't a color I want to wear but I needed a boot that I could get on that would keep me warm and dry and could accomodate the swelling with or without the toggle button fastened. The green pair worked but they've seen better days. I had been looking for them in Black for 2 years but I couldn't afford them until I searched Amazon this year. I didn't even have to think about it I ordered them they've arrived and I'll be ready for whatever winter throws at me this year.
